Solitude

Music is what feelings sound like.

Hi beloved daily warriors!

How are you all doing?

I had nothing else to do, so I downloaded a trial version of Mixcraft and experimented (mixed and matched) with the sound clips from there. I think there were hundreds of short sounds to choose from. I was staring at THIS for hours:

m

I ended up with this instrumental that I decided to call “Solitude”. Er, ’cause I’m alone? Well, it sounds like something I would listen to in solitude anyway.

I think it’s basically what my feelings would sound like at this very moment. And I don’t even know what emotions that would be. If anyone can interpret sounds and their equivalent emotions, please enlighten me. Haha!

If you could listen to it, let me know what you think okay?

“On the outside she was fragile
On the inside she was a storm,
Like a glass filled with an ocean
Only in a human form.”

The Requiem of the Moon Poetry

To those who are into Rock, here’s the first sound clip I did as a test. You might enjoy it. (Maybe.)

Oh, and do you think I should study notes or music stuff? Just wondering. ❤

Fun Facts:
– I don’t know how to read notes
– It’s my first time to mix sounds
– All instruments are from the program
– I tried to sing along with the music, but my voice ruined it so I edited it out

One of the daily weapons against negativity is MUSIC. What songs do you usually listen to when you need cheering up?

Wow Liz, looks like you have many talents! I feel you named it perfectly with Solitude, it fits the vibe. I truly like the mix you made. For me, nothing enhances my state like worship music or instrumentals.

p.s Test 1 was good too!

    Keep up the great work.

Thanks, James! I really appreciate that. I’m just trying to activate my all. *wink* haha! Oh. Music is such a good friend.

I’m also trying to understand how I feel right now through the music. What do you think it sounds like?

Excited to hear that Liz, the fulfillment of art is expression. There is definitely an important connection between music and the human being. It’s not a question of does someone like music but only what kind.

Your song Solitude to me is a time alone in nature for introspection. At first we feel the vulnerability of being alone, but your song almost persuades the person to be hopeful because it is essential for moments of Solitude in reaching success.

I genuinely like your song, if I didn’t I wouldn’t have commented. Keep inspiring us all Liz!

Hi!!! I tried to look for a name in your blog but I couldn’t find it even on your About page. 😦

I don’t mind the double comments. Thank you soooo much for your feedback on Solitude. I’m thinking if I should keep on doing music, I probably would. Haha!

There’s a link on the word Mixcraft up there on the post.*checking* Here you go: http://www.acoustica.com/mixcraft/

Oooh not bad bud, both sounds good 🙂

Personally I used Mixcraft in the past for recording and mixing before moving onto Garageband and I remember how rough it was to use them without any prior learning lol so kudos to you for achieving these results 😉

Not sure if I’ve fully utilized mixcraft in the past though but I strongly recommend Garageband cause it has the function of playing/recording your own MIDI instruments via your “Keyboard” and you can use synths, horns, guitars etc so many options!

If I’m right, you created these pieces with their “Loop tracks” right? With your creativity, I’m pretty sure it’s limiting for you (Cause you can only use tracks given to you) and if you want more flexibility and ability to truly create YOUR music/sound? Consider trying Garageband!

Creating your own music is definitely something different and fun 🙂

Thank you so much, Bennie. Helpful as always! Yup, I used the loop on this. There was an option to create my own sounds also, I think. It’s just that I can’t create any decent sound ’cause what I know about music is limited. (I plan to self study piano, but I need to set a time to do it.)

I’ve heard of Garageband before. I’ll look into it.

I made this basically from trying out sounds that feel right, and that was it.

And the fact that this was created via listening and “Testing” shows that you’ve got a knack for music to some level which, I believe, with some nurturing, will bring about something more.

Good that you’re considering on learning to play the piano. Always a step up in life to learn something new and evolve!

Do share more if you’re gonna be creating more 🙂
