Daniela Andrade – Come Around (Chapter 3)

[Verse 1]
Running out of wind
You took it out of me, fell out of reality
Counting all my sins
You make a felony out of all the good in me
Is this the game we play?
Hiding from each other, no one won’t face the other
There’s nothing left to say
Holding onto nothing but faith

[Chorus]
Cause I don’t see the light in your heart
And when you come around it feels dark
I don’t see the light in your heart
So darling, I’m leaving
You’re not gonna drag me

[Verse 2]
Shivers down my spine
Taken into places, and I can’t hardly take it
You played your cards so right
Left this to a gamble, and both forgot to handle
And hold each other tight
Lying to each other, no one won’t face the other
There’s nothing left to say
Baby, I’ll be on my way

[Chorus]
Cause I don’t see the light in your heart
And when you come around it feels dark
I don’t see the light in your heart
So darling, I’m leaving
You’re not gonna drag me down

[Bridge]
Though I really wanna stay in your arms
(I wish I could tell you would stay in your arms)
I don’t wanna be the one you take down
(I swear you won’t take me down)
And it’s hard to see it all fall apart
(I don’t wanna see it all fall apart)
Cause nobody wants to be alone in the dark
(Nobody wants to be alone in the dark)

[Chorus]
Cause I don’t see the light in your heart
And when you come around it feels dark
I don’t see the light in your heart
So darling, I’m leaving
You’re not gonna drag me
Cause I don’t see the light in your heart
And when you come around it feels dark
I don’t see the light in your heart
So darling, I’m leaving
You’re not gonna drag me down

Daniela Andrade’s Shore, a 4-Chapter visual EP, is actually a brilliant work of art. She’s such an amazing artist. If you haven’t seen it, please do. You can thank me later.

The 3rd Chapter in her music video series is my favorite. It  just resonates right through the heart.

Sometimes, we do everything and anything we can to keep that special someone. Somewhere along the way, things could go wrong. If it’s not resolved in the right way, it could create a tear in the relationship.

We can fight it off, keep holding on. We can try to pretend there’s no problem. But the truth is even if we try to patch things up and fix it, it may have already done some damage we cannot recover from.

“Come Around” shows the bittersweet feeling of making that choice between loving yourself and keeping a relationship that’s falling apart.

Would you stay in a relationship that’s slowly making you become someone you don’t want to be?
